For 12 years, Allie Pohevitz dreamed of competing on Survivor, only to have her adventure last five days when her tribe elected to vote her out instead of abrasive war veteran Shamar Thomas.

The 25-year-old bartender from Oceanside, N.Y., talks about her alliance of good-looking fans, clashing with Shamar and what you didn’t see on TV.

You formed an alliance of four with Reynold, Eddie and Hope, based on the fact that you are all good-looking. Did you consider how that would be received?
I’m upset that people think that just because we’re attractive, we have to be dumb. Sure, criticize me on my strategy. But giving us a hard time about our looks feels like a low blow. I am not dumb, no matter what people think about me. Just focusing on our looks is unfair.

You had an alliance of four but there were 10 contestants.
I can do the math – and that’s not what we had. Reynold and I were a pair, and Eddie and Hope were a pair. So we brought in Matt and we were going to go to the final five. And both pairs wanted Matt to align with us to the final three, so he would have been in a really great position. I’m definitely smart enough to realize that four is not enough in an alliance of 10. … But Matt switched on us, and we paid the price.

The result of your ejection is that Shamar Thomas stayed. What do you think of him?
I have never met someone so vile and disgusting. He is a waste of life.

Ouch. What happened that we didn’t see?
We got into screaming matches every three hours! We couldn’t come back to the shelter without him yelling at us. It was ugly, and we couldn’t avoid it. He was just so disrespectful and vile, and I just didn’t want to be anywhere near him.

Reynold found a hidden immunity idol, and they made it look like it happened right before tribal council. But I notice he didn’t have any facial hair then.
Yes! That’s right! He found it earlier than they showed. I knew he had it, but Hope and Eddie did not. Their surprised faces were genuine.

And Laura saw a bulge in his pocket and realized that he had it?
This is where it gets tricky. It wasn’t Laura who saw it. Someone else had seen it first and told Laura about it.

Who saw it? Was it Sherri?
Yes. She saw it first. They didn’t show that. But Reynold’s pants were too tight and that’s how people could see it.

So who’s playing a good game?
Matt. I never said a bad word about him, and I don’t think anyone else did either. He’s in a good position.

Who would you have worked with if you had been on the favorites tribe?
Definitely Malcolm, Corinne and Brenda. They’re straightforward. People say that Corinne is mean, but I like that. You know where you stand with her. I’m the same way. I’m the meanest person I know, but if you’re loyal to me, I’ll die for you.

Not Andrea? You two seem like you could align.
No. She’s very likeable, so she can go back and forth, like Matt did. I wouldn’t have been able to trust her, because she would have been so dangerous. You saw what she did to Francesca! I also couldn’t work with Phillip, Cochran or Brandon. They just are too unpredictable.

So your Survivor dream is over, and you didn’t last very long. Are you sorry you did it?
This was the best experience I ever had in my life. I would do it again in a second. I’m just so grateful I got to fulfill this dream!
