Wonder Woman, meet Supergirl!

It’s official: Lynda Carter is set to appear in the second season of Supergirl, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The actress, who famously played the fan-favorite superheroine Wonder Woman in the eponymous 1970s TV series, has landed an exciting new role on the CBS show when it moves to The CW this fall).

Carter, 64, will play the President of the United States, who was mentioned in the season finale.

Supergirl‘s executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg previously revealed their plans to include Carter on the show back in March, saying they had the “perfect role” for the actress.
