Stephen Lee, the character actor who hilariously played an overly loquacious cabinet installer on Seinfeld – among dozens of other roles on TV and in the movies – has died at 58.

Lee passed away after suffering a heart attack in his Los Angeles apartment on Aug. 14, his actress friend Lisa Pescia told the Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.

The Englewood, New Jersey, native began his acting career in the early 1980s on dramas like Hart to Hart, Hill Street Blues, Remington Steele and Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

He had a recurring role as Tony B. on Nash Bridges and also appeared on shows including Quantum Leap, Cybill, Murder One, Dark Angel, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, The West Wing and Bones.

His film credits included WarGames, La Bamba, Burlesque and The Negotiator.
