She’s made a name for herself in the world of conservative politics, but Stacey Dash says her outspokenness has negatively affected her career.
“I’ve been blacklisted in Hollywood,” Dash tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The 49-year-old actress, whose iconic role as Dionne Davenport in Clueless cemented her in the pop culture hall of fame, says she’s stopped getting auditions and that her agency dropped her.
“My agency dropped me because of my politics,” says Dash. “They told me that when they pitched me, casting directors would say, ‘We give you credit for pitching her with a straight face.’ It makes me so angry.”
Continues Dash, “Republicans in Hollywood hide. I’m challenging them to stand up and have courage. I won’t be scared into submission.”

And the mother of two already has her sights set on a much bigger role.
“I’m going to run for president one day,” says Dash. “I had a dream about 15 years ago that I was siting on the lawn of the White House, having a picnic with my family. That’s what I’m going for.”
