When last we left off with Olivia and the Gladiators (side note: awesome band name), they had taken on Jeannine Locke as a client after Mellie and Cyrus released a video of the Vice President’s top aide gushing about how “hot” the President is.
This promptly led the public to believe that she’s the woman Fitz had an affair with, not Olivia.
In this exclusive clip from the season’s second episode, titled “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?,” Kerry Washington‘s Olivia holds a press conference in front of the White House to set the record straight on Jeannine.
After introducing the Berkeley grad (summa cum laude, nonetheless) to reporters, Olivia firmly states that the fresh-faced “loyal friend, sister and daughter” standing next to her “absolutely, positively did not have sex with the President of the United States.”
She then goes on to say that the “White House is guilty of slander” before slamming the administration.
“What did you expect, Cy? It’s Olivia,” Fitz says in response to his clearly agitated right-hand man.
Olivia: 1; White House: 0.
Scandal airs Thursday at 10 p.m. on ABC.
