Real Housewives of New York City: All Hell Breaks Loose in the Hamptons

Posted on

Sonja Morgan tried to take The Real Housewives of New York City back to the days of The Great Gatsby with her “caburlesque” show Tuesday night, but it ended up more akin to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

“It’s not Moulin Rouge, it’s not Dita Von Teese, but it is Sonja Morgan,” Carole Radziwill, 50, said, aptly summing up the “cabaret meets soft burlesque” show Morgan hosted for the LGBT center in the Hamptons.

“It’s obvious I love my gays,” explained Morgan, 50. “I have my own way of moving very Liza Minnelli I’m gonna bring the sexy, and I’m gonna improvise.”

She did just that in her memorably wacky one-woman show, filled with strutting, dancing, wardrobe malfunctions and, well, being Sonja, which amused most of the audience save for Aviva Drescher’s new sidekick, image consultant Amanda Sanders.

“That’s what menopause looks like,” Sanders said while Morgan was on stage, after complaining about the “cheap liquor.”

“Ugh, I saw nipple.”

What she didn’t see coming was Heather Thomson, however, who called Sanders “the most ill-mannered, rudest person” before taking her on at a barbecue hosted by LuAnn de Lesseps after she mistakenly attempted to reunite Radziwill and Drescher on the heels of their Bookgate brawl.

“I have an issue,” Thomson said to Drescher, 43, after she and Radziwill began to yell in de Lesseps’s home. “Here’s your M.O.: You character-assassin everyone.”

“Don’t talk to her like she’s your child,” Sanders interjected. “I don’t like the way you speak to people.”

When de Lesseps, 48, attempted to restore order, all hell broke loose in the Hamptons.

“I don’t think you want to go down this path,” Sanders advised Thomson. “You walk away.”

She then added, “I’m going to pee, and then I’m gonna deck her.”

Thomson followed her, saying: “You wanna deck me? You might wanna stand up straight.”

So much for the Hamptons being classy.

To find out how catty things might get, tune in to The Real Housewives of New York City Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
