It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Ramona Singer.
Unsettled by the Taekman tension and saying she was haunted by memories of her abusive father, Singer called a friend with a private plane to head home to heal, but instead headed to the Hamptons.
“I feel like a caged bird that’s been let out!” Singer celebrated, boarding her friend’s plane.
“She definitely had me for a minute or two,” said Carole Radziwill, who Singer told on a hike earlier that “these woods bring me back to the memories of my father.” “It was some act,” Radziwill said. “Not Oscar worthy. But People’s Choice. Or Daytime Emmy.”
After Singer’s departure, LuAnn de Lesseps received a text at dinner, showing a photo of the Pinot Princess at a party in the Hamptons.
“Her whole milking the abuse story is getting old,” said an unamused de Lesseps. “No doubt she was abused, but she’s using it to get out of situations.”
Continued the Countess, who decided to organize an intervention to deal with Singer’s “master manipulation”: “I’m getting a little concerned about our friend. Lying to get away?”
“Finally, Ramona, you’re going to get what’s coming to you,” said Taekman, who termed Singer “the Wicked Witch of the Hamptons” after failing to get much of an apology from her and spending much of the show icing her split lip.
Perhaps no one was more hurt by Singer than on-again, off-again friend Sonja Morgan, who defended her the entire weekend.
“No one was more furious than me,” said Morgan, who spent the afternoon following Singer’s departure hitting on the 20-year-old captain of the pontoon boat that Heather Thomson chartered for the remaining wives.
“Have you graduated? Have your own apartment?” Singer asked the young man. “Do you go to Christian Mingle? I tried, but I was unmatchable.”
“She’s flirting heavy,” said Thomson. “She’s ready to pounce.”
“The boy was cute. Okay, he was a little too young. But I kept my paws to myself,” said Morgan before asking for his digits. “What’s the harm in getting the kid’s number?”
