The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice is getting ready for his stint behind bars.

He calls his 41-month prison sentence an opportunity to “start over again” and “put everything behind you.”

“No more of this court crap and all this other crap,” he said in an interview with .

On Sunday, Teresa Giudice‘s husband debuted part one of a three-part special, Teresa Checks In. The special focuses on him raising the couple’s four girls alone while Teresa serves her 15-month prison sentence.

“She keeps a positive attitude and that’s how you gotta be,” he told E! News of his wife’s attitude. “New people coming in, people leaving, so you’re always meeting people. Just because they’re in there doesn’t mean they’re bad people.”

He also said his wife has told him not everyone he’ll meet in prison will be bad, and has given him some inside knowledge of how underground prison economies work.

“They trade what they get in the commissary. So, let’s say somebody does your hair, you give them a pretzel,” Joe said. “Or nail polish remover, whatever you order from the commissary. But that’s how they do things in there. There’s no money exchange in there.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
