The 47-year-old business man and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar, a Dallas native, will also be remembered by his family and childhood friends at a funeral in Texas, loosely scheduled for the first week of September.
Taylor’s Real Housewives costars Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Adrienne Maloof and new cast member Dana Wilkey attended the service, along with Peggy Tanous of the Real Housewives of Orange County.
Armstrong’s attorney, Ronald Richards, told PEOPLE that his ashes will be split between Taylor, 40, and his Texas family. “Taylor has indicated to Russell’s nephew that Russell’s family can take most of the remains back to Texas,” he said. “They have a family cemetery there.”
