Ramona Singer is staying strong post-split.
“Ramona is one of those people who, amidst adversity, she triumphs,” Real Housewives of New York City costar Aviva Drescher told PEOPLE at Style for a Cause with Cozy’s Cuts for Kids and The Max Cure Foundation. “It’s incredible: She is solid.”
The housewife is moving on just fine, though.
“Ramona is surrounded by lots and lots of friends who love her and care for her,” says Drescher, who adds despite their tumultuous onscreen history, “I’ve absolutely been there for her.”
This revelation may come as a shock to RHONY fans, as Drescher and Singer were very much at odds last season.
A clip from the season premiere suggested that they may be on better terms, but you don’t have to wait for the March 11 air date to find out: “Ramona and I make up, and it took a lot of alcohol, but we did it,” Drescher says. “She is the mama bear on the show and I certainly didn’t want to stay on her bad side.”
That’s not to say season six is without its trademark catfights and confrontations. Drescher confirms that her and former Housewife pal Carole Radziwill‘s reported feud is real.
“It really had to do with our books – both of our books coming out,” she says. “The whole thing just spirals out of control.
“Season six is dramatic right out the gate.”
