Two talk-show titans came together Monday night: Oprah Winfrey and The Tonight Show.

It wasn’t the first time Winfrey had been on the show – that was in 1986 during Johnny Carson’s tenure – but it was her first time visiting Jimmy Fallon, and the pair put together quite the skit for the occasion.

“Back in the ’80s, we starred in a TV show together,” Fallon explains to Winfrey, before showing a clip of the pair starring in a wonderfully cheesy soap opera called Midnight Memories – with Auto-Tuned voices. They run through the gamut of soap-style histrionics, their their voices pitched up, down and all over with the effect.

Among the other revelations from Winfrey’s time with Fallon: She misses having a live audience, nobody wants an autograph anymore – “they all want selfies” – and Fallon gave Winfrey one of the best presents she’s ever gotten the day of the taping: Christmas sweaters for her dogs.

The rest of the pair’s interview is below.
