Adrianne Palicki put on the boots, the suit and that famous tiara – but NBC didn’t think it was so wonderful.
The network didn’t pick up the TV reincarnation of Wonder Woman, reports Entertainment Weekly. The pilot episode, penned by Boston Legal writer David E. Kelley, reportedly received mixed reviews at early screenings, despite its contemporary take on the superhero classic.
The show would have been the second time the iconic comic book – and its butt-kicking heroine – was adapted for the small screen. In the ’70s, Lynda Carter suited up for the role.
“I want this story to be told again,” Carter said in March of the reboot. “I’m really excited. I can’t wait to see it.”
