Jimmy Fallon took the smooth, calming drawl of Morgan Freeman’s voice up a few notches on Thursday’s Tonight Show.

The Oscar winner, 77, stopped by to promote his new movie Lucy, costarring Scarlett Johansson, but Fallon had other ideas. After watching Freeman sip helium on the science show Through the Wormhole, the late-night host convinced the star to do it again.

Equipped with a bounty of helium balloons, the pair began sucking them down and engaging in chipmunk-sounding chit chat.

“I really shouldn’t be doing this,” Freeman exclaimed to Fallon in a surprisingly squeaky voice.

We politely disagree. High or low, Freeman is always fun to listen to.
