The film, adapted from a Nicholas Sparks novel, will celebrate it’s 15th anniversary come January, and the actress is more than willing to celebrate with the former cast.
“I feel like we should get together with as much of the cast [that] is around and see if we can finagle a social media picture or something like that,” she told PEOPLE at Tuesday night’s PaleyFestival Fall TV Preview for her new NBC show This Is Us. “I think it’d be fun.”
Though it’s been awhile since the film’s debut, Moore, 32, said she’s actively trying to reconnect with her former on-screen love – Shane West, 38.
“I just reached out to Shane,” she shared. “We hadn’t talked in years. So he and I were going back and forth, and I was telling him about the show and he was telling me about his show. We’re going to try and get together one of these days.”
With Moore’s starring gig on This Is Us, West’s role as a series regular on Salem and costars Lauren German and Clayne Crawford also starring in primetime series this fall, Moore thinks it was a little more than luck that brought the cast together.
“I think it’s a testament to the casting director, [they] knew what they were doing,” she complimented.

As for bonding with her new cast members on This Is Us, Moore admitted to having "instantaneous" chemistry with leading man Milo Ventimiglia, 39.
“I remember shaking his … well, walking in and I’m like, ‘Oh wow, he is so handsome,’ ” she recalled. “But you never know how it’s going to be in terms of like, will you have chemistry with this person, and you have to shake hands, and five seconds later, pretend like they’re your husband and you’re pregnant with his three babies.”
She continued, “It was super comfortable, and right off the bat it was like, I remember he just like jumped in and started kissing my neck or whatever he was supposed to do in the scene.”
“I was like, ‘Okay, this is happening. I’m alright with it.’ ”
This Is Us premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
