In November, the couple dressed in disguise as part of Good Morning America‘s “Undercover Agents” segment and fooled a dance class in New York. They’ve kept the pranks up with each other.
“He did do one on me where he said he was going to get a nose job to make his nostrils smaller because his acting coach told him he needed it,” Murgatroyd, 29, told PEOPLE at an event at a JCPenney in the Manhattan Mall Thursday. “At first I was like, ‘You are crazy’ and I got really mad at him and he’s like ‘No seriously. This is happening. ‘”
Her hubby-to-be was pleased with his work.
“My pranks are next level,” Chmerkovsky said.
While perfectly in sync on the dance floor, the pair admitted their workout regimens are not the same.
“I love going to the gym,” Murgatroyd said. “I’m a gymaholic.”
Chmerkovskiy, 36, shared to some of the crowd gathered to see the pair at the JCPenney that he hadn’t been to the gym in months. His favorite workout? Dancing.
“People are just like wanting to organize, like immediately, from the time he put the ring on my finger,” Murgatroyd said. “Immediately!” Chmerkovskiy added.
“I had to stop people, like,’You’ve got to please calm down, because I can’t do this right now,” Murgatroyd joked about friends and family reacting to the engagement with maybe a little too much enthusiasm.
One thing they can confirm?
“We know that we want to do an East Coast wedding,” Murgatroyd said. “That’s about it. Probably in a year or something but that’s really all we’ve thought about.”
