What are you doing here without Dorinda?” became one of the Real Housewives of New York City‘s most iconic catchphrases — coined in season 7 after Sonja Morgan ran into Dorinda Medley‘s boyfriend during a solo night on the town.

But as fans learned on Wednesday’s all-new episode, the phrase almost became the theme to Luann D’Agostino‘s New Year’s Eve nuptials in Palm Beach, Florida, when Medley failed to show up for her day-of-wedding bridesmaid’s duties!

She made the big day in the end, but was reminded about the pre-wedding events by a series of panicked text messages and calls from D’Agostino herself — who was waiting for Medley in the salon chair. “I think Dorinda was at the beach, actually,” the former Countess joked. “I think Dorinda forgot she had to be there early to do hair and makeup!”

Medley had, in fact, forgot. After partying the night away with D’Agostino and friends on a boat and a nearby restaurant/bar that Friday, Medley woke up on Saturday morning — the day of the wedding — feeling relaxed.

“I’m just drinking — my bloody Mary’s just starting to kick in. I’m thinking ‘Oh this is great,’ ” Medley told pal Ramona Singer later in the episode, recounting the day. “Then I get a text. ‘Where are you? You were supposed to be here an hour ago!’ ”

Hair, makeup, lunch, pre-pictures, and post-pictures awaited Medley — but she was not exactly sober for all of that.

“I had to go over tipsy at 12 p.m. and spend the whole day there,” she confessed to viewers. “And I forgot my bridesmaid’s dress when I arrived!”

“I was desperate to take a nap but there was none of that!” she continued to Singer.

At least Medley made it to wedding. A week earlier, she hadn’t even booked her airline tickets.

“I forgot to book my flights!” Medley told Singer. “I booked the hotel, but I realized the Friday before because Luann sent out the thing saying, ‘What time is everyone arriving?’ I panicked!”

“What was I thinking?” she continued. “I don’t know I do these things. It was almost like I know I have to do it and then I don’t do it. I hope there wasn’t something psychological about that!”

Despite all the hurdles, Medley was there by D’Agostino’s side — both on her big day and two weeks later for D’Agostino’s New York City wedding celebration, where the rest of the Housewives gathered to give their best wishes to the bride and her husband, Tom.

Joking about the drunken speech she had given last season at D’Agostino’s engagement party, Medley tried again.

“Since I made a speech at the engagement party that no one could understand — you understood the intention, which is always what counts — I want to say thank you so much for having us again,” she said. “I want to raise a glass to a beautiful couple. I had such a great time at the wedding. It was a fantastic wedding. It was filled with love and happiness and friendship. I just came out of it feeling so much better about everything.”

That doesn’t mean Medley was interested in continuing to memorialize D’Agostino’s wedding anymore. “This is it now, right?” Medley asked. “No more celebrations. We have to be done now. Are we done? ”

Don’t count out the Countess, Dorinda.
