The ladies of Little Women: LA are getting real about motherhood — and offering some wise words of advice to new moms.
“I have two pieces of advice: one is, every single baby is different. And you’re only given what you can handle, so you’re stronger than you think,” Briana Manson, who welcomed a baby boy in June, says. “And also, sleep. Get as much rest as you can because you’re gonna need it.”
Manson, 34, safely gave birth to Maverick Jax, her second child, on June 22 despite a high-risk pregnancy. And she says she’s worried about her new son being in the public eye.
“I feel like not as many parents are teaching that whole mentality of being educated and open, and I feel like social media is just ripping people new ones,” admits Manson. “And that’s what scares me.”
“All three of us may have little people or children that are different,” she says. “We’re different and it might take some adjustment for the children to, kind of, feel comfortable in school. So I just want to really, hopefully, instill confidence.”
Gant gave birth two twin boys over the summer and the first-time mom says that before welcoming her little ones, she was worried about tackling motherhood.
“My biggest concern when I was pregnant was like, What if I don’t know how to change diapers? I don’t know how to hold them. I don’t know how to bathe them,” says Gant. “But then when you actually have them, you figure it out.”
As for Jolé, her advice to new moms is one she says took her by surprise: “Don’t worry, your feet will go down in the swelling department.”
