Little Women L.A.'s Terra Jolé Reveals Why the Cast Was Shocked No One Went Home on Dancing with the Stars

Posted on

New mom of two and Little Women L.A. star Terra Jolé is making history as the first little person to compete on Dancing with the Stars, and she’s blogging about season 23 exclusively for PEOPLE. Follow Jolé, 36, and her partner Sasha Farber, 33, on Twitter!

The judges gave me three 9s!! Say what?!?!

Last Monday was the best night of the season, in my opinion — and not just because the judges gave such wonderful compliments and we tied for second place. I loved Most Memorable Year night because I got to get to know so much more about all these amazing people I’m going on this journey with. That was a really special experience.

Sharing my own story about losing my father was hard. The world sees only bits and pieces of your life. and this intimate detail is something I’ve never shared on Little Women: L.A. before. That’s probably because it still is very fresh and vivid for me. But the week leading up to the dance was a therapeutic. Sasha had to hold my hand through tons of emotions, but it was all worth it.

And to top off that great night, no one had to go home! During the dress rehearsal they had an elimination, so hearing “no elimination” during the live show was a brick off of everyone’s chest.

This week, we are rehearsing for Latin Night!

Sasha and I are dancing the paso doble. All week, Sasha’s been trying to get me to channel anger and fire. Anger is a hard emotion to channel in a dance, but I’m giving it my all.

But the emotions are not the only thing making this week hard. The songs are getting longer and the pressure is out of control. Everyone wants to stay, and so there is a sense of indescribable pressure to do better. But I’m just keeping focused and making sure I’m giving it my all. I hope it shows tonight!

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
