Good news for anyone worried they might be left off the guest list for Lance Bass and Michael Turchin’s wedding: the nuptials are now set to air on TV!
Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding will premiere on E! on Feb. 5, the network announced Tuesday. The 90-minute special will allow millions of fans to join the couple’s family and friends in the star-studded celebration. The wedding date is set for Dec. 20.
The former ‘NSYNC singer, 35, first popped the question last year, but he admitted the wedding plans were slow to come together.
“I literally called Michael last night and said, ‘Babe, we have to plan something. I’m tired of telling everyone we haven’t done anything yet!’ ” he told PEOPLE in June.
Now, with the help of celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks – and famous friends like Lisa Vanderpump, Jamie Lynn Sigler and JoAnna Garcia Swisher – the couple has pulled together what promises to be a spectacular ceremony.
According to E!, this will be the first American television broadcast of a celebrity marriage between two men. In addition to the ceremony, the special will feature an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into Bass and Turchin’s road to the alter – from the first time they met to the drama and excitement of planning their special day.
Bass has said all the ‘NSYNC guys are invited – but don’t get your hopes up for a boy band reunion.
“I doubt we’ll be performing ‘Bye Bye Bye.’ ” he explained in June. “I think it’s a little cheesy if I sing at all at my wedding.”
