After Kris left to go focus on his off-season basketball training in Minnesota, Kim chased after him. “I’ve decided to confront Kris to talk about our living situation,” she said, after friends and family found it strange for the newlyweds to be living apart.
“It’s your off season and I feel like you should be living with me,” Kim told Kris, who said he tried living with Kim, her sister Kourtney, her boyfriend Scott Disick and their son Mason in the same apartment in New York.
“You tried what? You tried one week,” Kim said.
“Yeah, it was ridiculous,” Kris said. “My training is important and if I can’t get it done and there are too many distractions – of Mason and Scott and Kourtney fighting and all living in the same place – it’s easier to stay here.”
After that, Kris walked out and into another room. Kim followed, telling him, “I came all the way out here to like talk to you and to hang out here but all you’re really caring about is basketball. If you’re married there has to be another priority.”
“You don’t want me to resent you, do you?” Kris said.
With that Kim stormed out. “I’ll go pack and we’ll go live in separate cities,” she said. “I’ll Skype you to say bye.”
Later, they kissed, made up and returned together to New York. “We’re not going to have a successful marriage if we live in different states,” Kim said.
“I gotta figure out a way to make my marriage work and make my career work,” Kris said.
We’ll see how that goes when the NBA kicks off their delayed season at Christmas.
