Kim Kardashian West may be taking a break from the spotlight, but that didn’t stop her from going to meet her new niece Dream Renée Kardashian.

A source told PEOPLE the 36-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star had some face-time with the newborn girl  — who was born on Nov. 10 to Kim’s brother Rob Kardashian and his fiancée Blac Chyna.

“Kim takes her job as an aunt very seriously,” the insider said. “Kim was excited to spend time with Dream. She loves babies and thinks Dream is the cutest.”

“She is very proud of Rob and how seriously he takes his job as a dad,” the source added.

Kim and husband Kanye West also sent presents to the hospital for baby Dream, the source explained.

Rob shared a shot of those gifts — two new pairs of baby Yeezys!

“Thank you KimYe,” Rob, 29, wrote captioned the Instagram shot — which showed off the new kicks. “Baby yeezys mooooovvvvvieeeee @kimkardashian.”

Chyna has taken to social media several times to share adorable videos and pictures of her little girl — making Dream Kardashian already a social media star.

A source tells PEOPLE that he and Chyna, 28, have been on cloud nine.

“Rob and Chyna are so happy. They’re in a great place,” the insider said. “The plan is for the baby to come back to Chyna’s [house]. Rob will be there too. He is already in love with his daughter.”

As far as how her name came to be, the couple’s reasoning was pretty straightforward.

“Rob and Chyna had the name Dream for a long time,” a source told PEOPLE. “They named her Dream because they’ve always said she’s a dream come true.”

Dream, whom a source has called the “spitting image” of Kardashian, is the first child for the couple. Her birth story will be televised on the Rob & Chyna Baby Special, airing Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on E!
