At the time the episode was filmed, Khloé, 31, was trying to move on from her relationship with Odom, 36, after they signed divorce papers and were waiting for a judge to finalize the process. On the most recent episode of KUWTK, Khloé was livid when she found out her mother had not only been in contact with Odom but had given him Khloé’s new number. (She had previously changed it so the former NBA star would be unable to reach her.)
“You just have a sentimental thing with Lamar, and at some point, you have to get over it,” Kim tells Jenner, 60, in the clip. “What you did created a bigger stream of problems.”
“Okay, but you weren’t going to give me the benefit of the doubt. I always want what’s best for daughter,” Jenner defends herself.
“Her talking to Lamar and you saying Lamar deserves a second chance – that is so wrong and that’s being a bad mother!” Kim says.
“All right, what else do you want to call me? I would never speak to somebody the way you speak to anybody,” Jenner responds. “Your words hurt.”
When Kim criticizes her mom for “thinking that Lamar deserves a second chance in Khloé’s life,” Kris says she never said Odom “deserved to be back as [Khloé’s] husband.”
“Even for them to speak, it’s not healthy for Khloé,” Kim continues. “She’s moved on, and now you solely are pulling her back. ”
In an on-camera interview, the momager defends herself against her angry daughter.
“She’s way out of line to speak to me like this,” Jenner says of Kim. “I would never do anything to intentionally upset my kids, I just love Lamar. And she’s got to respect that too.”
Though Khloé and her family continue to visit the former basketball star, who remains hospitalized, Khloé has maintained that they are not getting back together and has been dating Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden.
