She’s not country, but Kesha sometimes hangs with a country crowd – at least on TV.

The singer will guest star on Nashville Wednesday night, playing herself, who also happens to be a friend of Hayden Panettiere‘s character Juliette Barnes. Derek Hough also returns as Juliette’s costar from the fictional film Shenandoah Girl.

Amid her emotional legal battle, Kesha, 29, has been experimenting with acting, with small roles in Jane the Virgin and the Jem and the Holograms movie. The singer told EW last year, “It’s fun to explore different art mediums and right now my [music] career is kind of on hold. I’m finding other ways to express myself and have outlets and connect with my fans.”

Nashville has also welcomed a long line of guest stars over its four-season run, including Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Vince Gill, Kelsea Ballerini, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Chris Young, and Florida Georgia Line, among others.
