It’s Live, Halloween-style.
Kelly Ripa pulled out all the stops for the Halloween-themed episode of Live on Monday, with a number of costumes, spoofs and even a music number.
Ripa, 46, and guest co-host Jerry O’Connell came out swinging in a mashup spoof of Beyoncé’s “Hold Up” music video and the recent episode of The Walking Dead that saw the deaths of Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) at the hands — or bat, rather — of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
“I woke up like this!” Ripa declared when O’Connell, 42, dressed as Negan, complimented her costume.
Soon, Ripa took the barb wire-wrapped bat into her own hands, dressing up as the villain to decide which co-host prospect she’d take a swing at. Among her options were Neil Patrick Harris, Jimmi Simpson and O’Connell.
Morgan himself even made a brief appearance to instruct Ripa.
“If it were up to me, I would pick that one,” said the 50-year-old actor pointing his weapon of choice (though, like in TWD‘s most recent finale cliffhanger, his choice was not shown).
To kick off the show, Ripa and O’Connell channeled Hamilton, enlisting the help of Corbin Bleu and Matt Bomer.
“My game is Kelly Ripa’s Halloween and there’s a million wigs I haven’t worn,” sang Ripa in full Alexander Hamilton garb. “But just you wait! Just you wait!”
The episode, called “Live‘s Halloween Decision,” took a turn for the serious (sort of) when Ripa slipped into a black hoodie to portray Mr. Robot’s Elliot (Rami Malek) in Mr. Robot’s Neighborhood.
“The truth is, Live with Kelly has been hacked,” the narrator said in the video showing Ripa both walking solemnly down the street and, in contrast, skipping joyfully. “You don’t believe me? Just watch.”

Ripa went all out, wearing a black suit with a large, red tie. She topped off the look with bronzer and a blonde wig.
“I brought my smoking hot wife Melania,” the host said, delivering her best impression of the GOP nominee. “My gorgeous daughter Ivanka — isn’t she beautiful, folks? We are going to make game shows great again!”
Live with Kelly airs weekdays (check local listings).
