The power couple known as Kimye celebrated Thursday’s sold-out Yeezy Season 3 presentation – during which the rapper debuted his long-awaited album The Life of Pablo – with dinner at Negril restaurant in New York City.
West, 38, topped off his airbrushed t-shirt, which paid tribute to his late mom Donda West on the front and his wife’s dad Robert Kardashian on the back, with a metallic, beaded bomber jacket, accessorizing with a rouge cap and – what else – beige Yeezys.
Meanwhile, Kardashian West, 35, rocked the same oversized fur coat, platinum wig and lucite high-heels that her husband and Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing designed specially for her.
The evening was a family affair, attended by Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner Kylie Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner, North West and even Lamar Odom, who made his first public appearance since October’s nearly fatal overdose.
“For Lamar, it’s very important that he keeps regaining his old life. This will motivate him so he is able to keep focusing and work hard,” a source told PEOPLE. “Think of it as a reward. Flying on private jets across the country was his life before. Khloé is nothing but protective of Lamar. She would never jeopardize his health. It’s very exciting that Lamar is getting back into his old world. No one deserves it more.”
But like anything involving West, the show wasn’t without controversy: He and Taylor Swift seem to be back to their post-VMA frenemy status after the world heard his song “Famous,” which includes the lyric “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that bitch famous.”
Based on her rep’s statement calling the track “misogynistic” and his Twitter rant insisting “she was cool with it,” the second battle of Tay vs. Ye is just beginning.
