“I’m going to be coming home to Michigan for Thanksgiving and I know I’ll be FaceTiming him because I’ll be missing him like crazy,” Kramer told PEOPLE backstage on Monday after being eliminated in the finals of the ABC reality dance competition.
Savchenko apologized to Kramer after stumbling during their final performance together, but after the show Kramer explained she saw no need for him to say I’m sorry.
“I said, ‘It’s okay.’ The amount of times I’ve messed up … I even did a little mess up in the routine too, but it’s okay,” she told reporters. “We had an incredible journey. It’s not about the last dance, it’s about the full package. We had standing ovations and perfect scores. We killed it.”

“We killed it every week,” he said. “We never took a week where we said, ‘Oh we’re going to take it easy.’ Every week we did something different that pushed her completely out of her comfort zone. We totally killed it.”
And even though she doesn’t have a shot at the Mirrorball Trophy on Tuesday, Kramer says she feels like a winner.
“I’m so happy, honestly. We did everything we wanted to do,” she said. “I shared every story I wanted to share, which is why I signed up for this show. I danced with an incredible partner and I had a blast. This is not something I’ll ever forget.”
The season 23 finale of Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
