The Robertson family is getting ready to say goodbye, but happy to reflect on their “awesome ride.”

Korie Robertson tells PEOPLE Now that after five years, “it feels like it’s time” to end Duck Dynasty.

“We’re happy to kind of move on to another chapter, but also, we’re like, ‘Awe, we’re gonna miss this,’ ” the 43-year-old says of the family decision.

The Louisiana family announced the “mutual decision” to end the A&E show after its current 11th season in a Facebook video, earlier this week. The series will run through Jan. 18 with a small break before seven final episodes, which are set to air between March 1 and April 12, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Robertson calls breaking the news “a little bittersweet,” but adds, “We just had such amazing support from fans.”

She does promise plenty of laughs in the final season, and says her and husband Willie Robertson’s adopted son, Rowdy, will feature prominently.

“We’re gonna introduce him a little bit more this season,” she reveals. “His adoption was final in September and we filmed all of that and it was just an amazing moment.”
