After three scheming seasons, lady’s maid Sarah O’Brien is hanging up her apron and apparently taking her nastiness to warmer climes.

Actress Siobhan Finneran confirms she won’t be returning for a fourth season on Downton Abbey after appearing on the hit PBS show since the beginning.

“I’m not doing any more,” she says, according to the Huffington Post UK. “O’Brien is a thoroughly despicable human being – that was great to play.”

It’s not known how she’ll be dispatched from the show, which has already killed off two major characters. But O’Brien was last seen angling to quit Downton to work for another family transplanting from Scotland to India.

O’Brien leaves a trail of destruction, causing her employer, Lady Grantham, to miscarry, then double-crossing her onetime partner in evil, footman Thomas Barrow.

British audiences will still be able to see Finneran on the UK series The Syndicate, in which she plays a nurse who won the lottery.
