You’ve seen him in countless music videos, causing drama on his reality series Making the Band and playing the host with the most on MTV’s Video Music Awards. But no one really took the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy and Sean Combs seriously as an actor until he appeared as death row inmate and Halle Berry‘s husband in Monster’s Ball. Then, Diddy debuted on Broadway in April of 2004 when he starred with Phylicia Rashad in the revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. The small screen version of the show is set to air Feb. 25 (8 p.m. EST) on ABC with the original Broadway cast returning. Not only is it the first television movie to be previewed at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, but, as Diddy explains, “This movie’s for free. It’s my gift to you.” Check out the trailer.
