Things are certainly looking up for Tori Spelling.
The actress and reality-TV star, 42, looked as sunny and happy as ever as she stepped out with husband Dean McDermott on Monday for the premiere of Pixar’s Inside Out.
In an adorably girly pair of yellow shorts and a denim vest, she waved at fans under the beaming eye of McDermott, 48.
The couple looked happy and healthy after a year that saw more downs than ups, including the severe burns Spelling suffered due to an accident in April and the couple’s very public (and televised) process of working through McDermott’s infidelity, both before and after he entered rehab.
Now, though, a source close to Spelling tells PEOPLE she and her brood are definitely on the upswing: “Things are a work in progress, but the family is quite happy right now. They are in a good place.”
To wit, mom-of-four Tori shared a sweet Instagram photo in May of her tenderly kissing her husband on their ninth wedding anniversary.
She later summed up their trying year with another Instagram post of the quote, “The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you’ve come.”
Among the hashtags were the words “LoveAndAlotOfTherapyConquersAll.”
