Joan Rivers got a taste of her own “diva” behavior on Tuesday night.

The comedian stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about her new book Diary of a Mad Diva and joke with the host, but Letterman had other plans. Midway through his interview with Rivers, the host hurriedly stood up, removed his jacket and stormed off his own stage in a huff.

Of course, it was all in jest. Letterman used the exit to tease Rivers, who recently walked off a CNN interview after feeling that the anchor was being too accusatory.

Not one to be the butt of a joke for long, Rivers quickly bounced back from the Late Show host’s cheeky move by proceeding without him and interviewing herself.
