There are six couples remaining on Dancing with the Stars – but not for long!
After Tuesday’s elimination show (9 p.m. ET), only four semi-finalists will remain. Those odds aren’t great but high-scoring couples like William Levy and Cheryl Burke, who delivered a perfect foxtrot on Monday, have a better chance.
Then again, low scores aren’t necessarily an indication of elimination. Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were at the bottom of the leaderboard last week but escaped the bottom two and the dreaded dance duel.
Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower bounced back from being in the bottom last week with two panel-pleasing performances on Monday. Maria Menounos and Derek Hough fared well, even if they didn’t repeat their perfect score from the week before.
Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd did well with two energetic performances, including a jive with reigning champ Karina Smirnoff. And Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas overcame a wardrobe malfunction in their second dance with Tristan MacManus, a 29-point cha cha, that Bruno called “sexy and cool.”
With a race so close it’s hard to say who will stay and who will go but chances are there will be some gasps in the ballroom Tuesday night as the field is narrowed by a third.
