Peta Murgatroyd is looking at the glass half full.

Although the ballroom pro was wiping away tears backstage after she and partner Gilles Marini were eliminated on Tuesday night’s Dancing with the Stars, Murgatroyd, 26, is excited to spend time with boyfriend Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who was also eliminated alongside his partner, Kirstie Alley.

“We get to sleep in tomorrow morning probably, and go have breakfast, which we have not done for months,” Murgatroyd told PEOPLE. “So, there’s a plus side.”

Even so, Murgatroyd wishes her beau and his partner didn’t share her dismissal.

“I’m sad for them,” she said. “Kirstie was great. She improved every week. Maks really worked hard with her and they really worked hard together.”

As for her own elimination, last season’s winner said with a smirk, “I’m pissed! … I do think Gilles should be in the finals.”

Marini, who says he “would work until I dropped dead,” played coy when asked if he wishes he hadn’t put so much effort into the show.

“Very good question,” he told reporters. “I plead the Fifth. No regrets because I met Peta, and no regrets because I met Peta.”
