Chris Soules Admits He's a 'Better Farmer than a Dancer'

As Dancing with the Stars closes in on the finale of its 20th season, there are no hard feelings for ousted contestant Chris Soules.

In advance of Monday’s semifinals, the former Bachelor wished his onetime competitors good luck via Instagram.

“I’m still a better farmer than a dancer,” Soules, 33, admitted in the caption of a grinning photo of himself, decked out in his farming gear – John Deere hat included, naturally.

The farmer from Arlington, Iowa, managed to go pretty far despite his self-deprecating Instagram – he and partner Witney Carson got cut the week before the semifinals. A perfectly respectable effort, to be sure, but now it’s up to Riker Lynch, Noah Galloway, Nastia Liukin and Rumer Willis to fight it out for the Mirrorball Trophy.

With Soules back in Arlington, his fiancée, Whitney Bischoff, continues to reside in Chicago. However, he doesn’t envision any issues with keeping their relationship long-distance while the fertility nurse ties up loose ends in Chicago. “It should be a pretty easy transition for both of us,” Soules recently told PEOPLE.

“I’m looking forward to getting back there this weekend and just being with her, and she’s going to probably be riding in the tractor a little bit with me.”
