Camille Grammer is opening up about her engagement — and moving on from her famous ex Kelsey Grammer.
“I was nervous to take this step again, honestly,” Grammer, 48, told PEOPLE of taking the plunge with beau David C. Meyer at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season eight premiere Friday in West Hollywood. “I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get engaged. We discussed it. But I know that he’s the right man for me. I just know it.”
The lawyer proposed to the former model and RHOBH star in October.
“It’s been great! It’s been wonderful,” Grammer says of the engagement. “I’m very blessed to have met the man of my dreams. I know that sounds really corny… But he’s handsome; he’s smart he’s supportive; he’s a great dad. I’m very impressed with his children and how he’s raising his children and his coparenting. I was very impressed with his coparenting skills with his ex-wife, and I’m very happy.”

Grammer was previously married to the former Fraiser star for nearly 14 years before they finalized their divorce in 2011. The RHOBH star has been vocal about her contentious relationship and coparenting qualms with her ex, with whom she she shares daughter Mason, 16, and son Jude, 13. (In November, PEOPLE confirmed that Kelsey must pay his ex-wife 50 percent of his retirement savings from the years they were married.)
Grammer and Meyer say they’ll be planning their wedding over the holidays.
“I don’t know if I can do a big wedding again,” Grammer — who is battling cancer for the second time — says. “We’ve both been through that before. I don’t know how big [his first] wedding was, but mine was pretty big. We’ll save money and enjoy our friends.”
