This week’s The Biggest Loser started out on a great note when I explained that it was “All for One” week and that the contestants would all work together for immunity.
Introducing Bingo, Sunny and Lindsay was another great moment. When the kids rocked the nutrition quiz and the physical challenges it was awesome and made me so proud that the show took on childhood obesity and is making a difference with the kids this season.
Then the gym happened. Gina vs. Joe. Jillian vs. Dolvett and Bob. By the time we got to this week’s challenge, the tensions were high and the mood of the contestants was definitely different. I didn’t realize exactly why until I saw footage of what happened in the gym.
This week’s challenge was one of the most grueling in Biggest Loser history. But the contestants kept going and going, despite their injuries and exhaustion. Who would have thought that despite their differences, it was Joe that picked Gina up after her fall and helped get her to the finish line?
At the end of the day, I think that’s what separates this show from others – no matter what the differences, everyone truly and genuinely cares about one another. I know it sounds cheesy but it’s really true.
That trust became even more apparent high above the ground. Bob and Dolvett were hilarious to watch while doing the trust exercise. Jillian and Alex definitely worked. Same with Gina and Joe.
And how about Jeff and Francelina – our latest love connection on the Ranch?
Hey Bachelor, take notes! Trusting one another and sharing a journey to health leads to lasting relationships!
Oh, my favorite moment of the week: The kids and Jillian signing Seventeen magazine’s Body Peace Treaty to help teens feel confident inside and out.
