“This week is not a week of nominations, it’s a veto week,” Rachel said at the beginning of Wednesday’s Big Brother. For once, she actually made an educated statement.
With both Dominic and Adam – the duo nominated by Rachel Sunday – both thinking they were on the block as a “pawn,” the house was scrambling going in to the veto competition.
“I want to play with Daniele and you two,” Dominic said, telling Brenchel exactly what they wanted to hear.
And with Brendan thinking, “maybe this is the best time to back-door Jeff and Jordan,” Dominic was playing hard to make sure he would be around to stab Brenchel in the back down the line.
Going in to the veto competition, Jeff and Jordan were chosen to compete against Brenchel and Adominic for the power to possibly take the nominated duo off the block.
Continuing her plan from Sunday, Daniele tried to push Brenchel to follow through with their inkling to backdoor their alliance members Jeff and Jordan. But she may have played her hand too hard.
“My gut instinct is that Daniele is setting herself up to be in the perfect position,” Brendan told his girlfriend before coming to a consensus with Jeff and Jordan that Daniele was only looking out for herself. A reality show contestant only looking out for themself? Shocking.
As the veto competition commenced, the houseguests learned it would be a race to spell the longest word possible with the letters provided – much to the chagrin of many of the competitors.
With Jordan spelling the six-letter word “little” to save herself the embarrassment of spelling the seven-letter word “farting,” Rachel spelled “mouisturizing,” and Adam asked “where is the ‘P’ in the pool?” Brendan breezed through the competition with the word “understanding” – something, most certainly, he hopes his significant other will keep in mind while in the house.
Unsure Brenchel would follow through with backdooring “America’s couple,” Dominic approached Shelly with his plan to get Jeff out of the house, but the country bumpkin ran right to Jordan, who turned in to a “tattle tale,” telling Brenchel his plan to go after the veterans with Daniele by his side.
“I can not believe Dominic has the audacity,” Rachel said of Daniele and Dominic’s plan to oust them.
And suddenly Dominic – because Daniele is protected by her Golden Key power – became enemy number one, so Brendan kept the nominations the same.
So, as always on Big Brother, the pawn will go home Thursday (9 p.m ET.) But which pawn?
