In an exclusive sneak peek at the episode airing Monday, Dorfman, 27, tells her dad, Hy, and mom, Patti, that “it’ll be interesting to see what you guys think” about her final two: Josh Murray and Nick Viall.
Hy, who put ex-soccer pro Juan Pablo Galavis through the wringer on the last season of The Bachelor, isn’t impressed when his daughter tells him that Murray is a former professional baseball player. “As far as Josh being an athlete, she says it’s different,” Hy says.
Murray, 29, admits he’s “very nervous” about coming face-to-face with Andi’s family. “Today is a very big day,” he says. “It’s a big deal to get their approval and just get to show them who I am and how much I care for her.”
He plans to ask her father for Andi’s hand in marriage and says, “You only get one chance to make one first impression and this is it.”
Murray walks in bearing gifts and a big smile, but it seems Hy isn’t as smitten as his daughter seems to be.
“My first impression of Josh when he walked in – he’s trying to be relaxed and calm and cool but he is sweating,” Hy says with a laugh. “He is so nervous. This guy doesn’t have a prayer.”
To see what happens when Nick Viall meets Andi’s parents – and whom she chooses during the final rose ceremony – tune into the three-hour live Bachelorette season finale on Monday (8.p.m. ET) on ABC.
