As Bachelor fans wait to see whether Juan Pablo Galavis chooses Nikki or Clare on Monday’s Final Rose episode, at least one contestant has already moved on after being dumped by the Venezuelan hottie.
Single mom Renee Oteri, 32, who Galavis said goodbye to after their hometown date, is engaged to Bracy Maynard, a guy she’s known since she was 12. But she’s not the only former contestant to find love off-camera.
While newly engaged former Bachelorette Emily Maynard is hoping that the fourth time is the charm, and two-time contestant Kacie Boguskie is engaged, these former contestants have also found their happily ever after.
Jason Mesnick & Molly Malaney
The season 13 Bachelor had a change of heart after proposing to Melissa Rycroft in 2009 and after the season finale aired, the single dad broke up with her on live TV and asked runner-up Molly Malaney to give him another chance. She did and the pair married the following year. They welcomed daughter Riley in March 2013.
DeAnna Pappas & Stephen Stagliano
After being rejected by Bachelor Brad Womack, Pappas thought she’d found her prince when Jesse Csincsak proposed on The Bachelorette in 2008. But their engagement ended a few months later. In 2011 she married Stephen Stagliano, whose twin brother, Michael, had appeared on The Bachelorette. Their first child, daughter Addison, was born in February this year.
Kiptyn Locke & Tenley Molzahn
Sparks flew when the pair, who were both runners-up on their seasons, met on Bachelor Pad in 2010. “I don’t believe in dating someone if you can’t see them in your future,” Molzahn told PEOPLE. But they split 2½ years later. The couple reunited at the end of 2013, and last month Molzahn told PEOPLE that the relationship was headed in the right direction: “The goal is marriage and family.”
Chris Lambton & Peyton Wright
Landscaper Lambton doesn’t hold a grudge against Ali Fedotowsky for dumping him on The Bachelorette in 2010. “Every day I thank my lucky stars I was on that show because I met the woman of my dreams, my wife,” he told PEOPLE of Wright, who was on Andy Baldwin’s season of The Bachelor. The pair who got engaged in 2011, will celebrate their second wedding anniversary this May and host the HGTV show Going Yard.
John Presser & Tara Durr
They were both eliminated in the first round of their seasons but their shared experience brought them together when they became friends on a private Bachelor Facebook page in 2009. “We just corresponded back and forth for about two months before we met,” she told PEOPLE. They announced their engagement at a Bachelor/Bachelorette alumni reunion the following year, tied the knot in Florida a few months later and welcomed a son, Warner, in 2012. “What an amazing 2 years it’s been: Dream man, dream wedding, dream home & now a baby,” Durr Tweeted shortly after her baby was born. “#lifecantgetmuchbetter”
Jesse Csincsak & Ann Lueders
The snowboarder didn’t give up on love when his engagement to DeAnna Pappas ended in 2008. After dating Holly Durst from The Bachelor: London Calling he found his soul mate in Lueders, who’d been on Jason Mesnick’s season. She was expecting their first child, a son named Noah, when they said “I do” in Vegas in 2010. The couple are expecting a little girl any day now.
Blake Julian & Holly Durst
Talk about complicated. The chemistry between these two was clear on Bachelor Pad in 2011 as they flirted in front of her former fiancé, Michael Stagliano. Once they left the mansion, love blossomed and Julian (who’d been on Ashley Hebert‘s season of The Bachelorette) proposed. Stagliano wasn’t invited when they wed in 2012 and Durst told PEOPLE, “I have a beautiful future ahead of me with this man. I love him with all my heart.”
Melissa Rycroft & Tye Strickland
She was publicly humiliated when Jason Mesnick dumped her on national TV in 2009, but found comfort in the arms of ex-boyfriend Strickland, who she’d dated on and off for two years before appearing on The Bachelor. “Sometimes the stars align, and the clouds part and everything works out the way it should,” she said after they announced their engagement on Good Morning America less than four months after “MesnickGate.” They married in Mexico that year, and the Dancing With the Stars alum welcomed daughter Ava in 2011. She’s expecting a baby boy in April.
Andrew Firestone & Ivana Bozilovic
TV’s third Bachelor proposed to Jen Schefft in a romantic final rose ceremony in 2003, but by the end of the year they’d decided to call it quits. “We have come to realize that our future goals are different,” the tire heir explained. The California winemaker found love with actress and model Bozilovic, and after marrying in 2008, they welcomed three kids, Adam, 4, Anja, 2, and Shane, who was born in January.
Travis Stork & Charlotte Brown
The dashing ER doctor got hearts fluttering when he appeared as the Bachelor in 2006, but when it came to the final rose ceremony, he didn’t get down on one knee and propose to Bachelorette Sarah Stone. They broke up shortly after the show’s finale aired, with Stork blaming the split on the long months they’d had to keep their relationship a secret. “You’re forced to pretend you don’t know someone, for essentially the last four months,” he told The Tennessean. The Doctors co-host married girlfriend of three years, pediatrician Dr. Charlotte Brown in 2012.
Ty Brown & Elizabeth Kitt
Jake Pavelka might not have wanted her, but Brown, who’d wooed Ali Fedotowsky, fell head over heels for the brunette after they began dating in January 2013. He proposed in October – “He baked her a diamond cake,” his former Bachelor costar Craig Robinson revealed. And in February Brown shared a picture of her diamond sparkler, revealing that their wedding was imminent. “One more MONTH!!! YEEEeee!!!!,” she wrote. “This is WORSE than waiting on Christmas!!!”
Jen Schefft & Joe Waterman
After breaking up with Firestone and appearing on The Bachelorette in 2005 (where she rejected both of her suitors), Schefft told PEOPLE that she “went on a million blind dates that didn’t work out.” But when she went on a blind date with Waterman, a Chicago options trader, it just felt right. “We got along so well from the beginning.” They got engaged after eight months, and wed in 2009. The couple have two daughters, Mae, 3, and Charlotte, 18 months.
