The reality star alum, who appeared on season 1 of The Bachelorette and season 4 of The Bachelor, recently celebrated his and fiancée Jessica Canyon’s upcoming nuptials with a pre-wedding party, PEOPLE exclusively reports.
Held at the Grosse Ile Golf and Country Club in Grosse Ile, Michigan on Oct. 22, Guiney’s mother — Nora Guiney —and sister — Deanne DeMare — threw a reception for the engaged couple close to his hometown of Riverview.
To celebrate their upcoming November wedding in Punta Mita, the couple, who got engaged in October 2015, celebrated with 100 of their closest friends and family from Michigan, including some members of Canyon’s family.
Guiney, 45, tells PEOPLE that to decorate the space, his mom and sister “had huge pictures of us from our last trip to Mexico blown up around the room.”
Bedecked in a suit and tie, Guiney and his fiancée, who wore a floor-length black gown, danced in front of guests at the candlelit formal affair just weeks shy of their Nov. 11 wedding.
The groom-to-be recently took to Instagram to compliment Canyon and express his excitement for the couple’s upcoming Mexico wedding: “Exactly one month to go!! I’m a very lucky man! (She’s the beautiful one on the right – in the white – by the way!) I cannot wait for our big day @jescanyon ! And love that we can share it w @thaigrrrl @deedeedemare and more family & friends. #pbj16 #love #puntamita #30Days #CasaEntreRocas.”
He previously told PEOPLE of marrying Canyon, “We get along great, she let’s me be me” and added of his upcoming third marriage, “I know exactly who I am right now, as I would be in front of her with the same terrible jokes and the ‘third time’s a charm’ crap.”
