Aziz Ansari Is Told 'TV's Horrible' While Convincing Passerby That 'This Is the Golden Age of Television'

Updated

Aziz Ansari and Billy Eichner took their love for TV to the streets — and attempted to get passerby to share in the love as well.

On the latest episode of Eichner’s show Billy on the Street, Ansari joins his fellow comedian for a lightning round — and PEOPLE has the exclusive sneak peek!

During the segment, Ansari and Eichner encourage unsuspecting New Yorkers that “This is the Golden Age of television.”

During one encounter, a woman says, “Okay. Bye.” Meanwhile, another woman tells them, “That’s not true. TV’s horrible.”

When asked if she’s ever seen Ansari’s hit Netflix show Master of None, the passerby admits, “No, I haven’t seen that show.”

“What entertainment do you consume?” Ansari asks. “Any?”

She responds, saying she occasionally reads books, to which the comedians proceed to immediately storm off.

Along the way, the duo encourage people on the street to watch The Wire, Breaking Bad and The Leftovers (Ansari says, “Season 1’s pretty good, but season 2’s supposed to be extraordinary!”).

Ansari’s cameo airs Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. EST on truTV.
