brightcove.createExperiences(); Anna Duggar has kept her head held high amid the scandal surrounding her husband Josh Duggar, and now she says she’s prepared for the “long process” of reestablishing her relationship with the former 19 Kids and Counting star.
Getting candid with sister-in-law Jessa (Duggar) Seewald during a mani-pedi session on Tuesday’s episode of TLC’s Jill & Jessa: Counting On, Anna admitted, “I can definitely look back on the past few months and say it’s been a hard road, but it’s been a good road.”
Speaking about Josh’s then-upcoming release from a faith-based rehab facility in early March, the 27-year-old mom told Jessa that the couple still has “a lot of work” to do. Last August, Josh, 28, publicly confessed to being addicted to pornography and to being unfaithful to Anna.
“I think it’s daily, there’s going to be a lot of work and there kind of is a long process ahead, but we’ll just kind of take it one day at at time and keep trusting god and doing the right thing,” Anna said. “I think there’s lots of hope for the future and a lot of excitement. But, in some ways, there are a lot of steps before it’s where it needs to be.”

In a solo interview, Anna told viewers that the support of Jessa and her other sister-in-laws “has meant the world.”
“It’s really been a blessing and I couldn’t ask for better sister-in-laws,” she added.
During an earlier episode of the new series, Anna told the camera that “God’s grace can give me the strength to love Josh when others would say he doesn’t deserve it.”
The Duggar family told PEOPLE earlier this year that they’ve forgiven Josh for his indiscretions, with Jessa noting that “it is a process.”
“We love him very much, though, and we are very hopeful for the future,” she said.
