MTV better have their finger on the censor button for the 2015 MTV Movie Awards!

The notoriously raunchy Amy Schumer will host the festivities live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles April 12, 2015.

“I am honored to be hosting the awards,” said Schumer, 33. “I will carry the audience with me like a teen mom #breaktheinternet #breakmywater.”

Schumer certainly did her best to #breaktheinternet, Kim Kardashianstyle, after invading MTV’s social media platforms for an hour Wednesday evening – Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Vine, Tumblr and Snapchat were all accounted for.

Schumer is the first host in the show’s 24 years to make the big announcement herself.

The comedian’s big break came in 2007 as a contestant on the fifth season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, in which she placed fourth.

However, the bulk of her well-deserved acclaim has come from her turn as the creator, star, writer and executive producer of Inside Amy Schumer, the Emmy-nominated series on Comedy Central entering its third season in April.

“Wickedly funny and sharply insightful, Amy Schumer is perhaps the most ascendant talent in comedy today and she s on the brink of an epic year,” said Stephen Friedman, president of MTV. We are thrilled to work with Amy to create an unpredictable and hilarious showcase for Hollywood s biggest blockbusters and brightest stars in what promises to be the most combustible Movie Awards ever.

The MTV Movie Awards will air on MTV on April 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
