Stress is expected on elimination nights at American Idol, and this Thursday was no exception.
After judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. gave rave reviews to most of the Top 7 during Wednesday night’s performance show, it was anyone’s guess who would be sent home from the FOX reality singing competition this week.
The tension in the studio was palpable, as host Ryan Seacrest began to reveal which contestants had been voted into the Top 6.
Warning: Spoiler ahead!
Eventually, only Jessica Meuse, and Dexter Roberts were left in jeopardy of being sent home by America’s votes, with Roberts ultimately being eliminated from the competition.
“I had a great time. So many [memories],” Roberts said before he closed out the show with a reprise of his performance of “Lucky Man” by Montgomery Gentry.
