Evan Peters hasn’t been scared off yet.
The actor is returning to American Horror Story for the anthology’s fifth season, AHS: Hotel, FX announced Friday.
This makes the 28-year-old the only actor to have a starring role in each season so far: AHS vet Jessica Lange won’t be checking in to Hotel, and Sarah Paulson only appeared in three episodes of 2011’s Murder House.
In honor of the good news, PEOPLE is ranking Peters’ four characters – from least creepy to most.
4. Kit Walker
He didn’t kill his wife: She was just abducted by aliens! And in the end, he totally made polygamy work with Grace (Lizzie Brocheré) and Alma (Britne Oldford) – for a time. He was the hero of Asylum, an innocent man wrongly accused of a gruesome crime, and even cared for sadistic Sister Jude (Lange) in her old age.
3. Jimmy Darling
Poor lobster boy. He was given a rough start in Freak Show, and his desire to leave the carnie life behind really resonated. And who doesn’t SHIP Maggie (Roberts) and Jimmy?
2. Kyle Spencer
The sole frat boy with a heart, Kyle totally didn’t deserve to die – but Zombie Kyle definitely gave us the heebie-jeebies, and his heartbreakingly sick relationship with his mother could be one of Coven‘s darkest plots – and that’s saying something.
1. Tate Langdon
Cute boy next door or evil ghost? Who can tell. We were all about Violet (Taissa Farmiga) and Tate’s young love – until we learned he shot up a school and raped her mom as the Rubber Man. Unforgivable.
AHS: Hotel premieres on FX in October.
