Twilight stars Kellan Lutz and Anna Kendrick joined pals Lance Bass and Jamie-Lynn Sigler at West Hollywood hotspot Coco de Ville Friday night for a mutual friend’s birthday party. The spirited group was surprised with a cupcake tower and Moët et Chandon champagne, and jokingly pointed at Bass when the deejay played ‘N Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye.”

• First Lady Michelle Obama treated daughters Sasha and Malia to a girls’ day out in the Big Apple. The trio stopped at sweet spot Dylan’s Candy Bar – where they picked up T-shirts, shorts and treats – before heading to Broadway for a matinee of Memphis. “As soon as the crowd saw [who was coming in], they gave her a standing ovation,” an observer tells PEOPLE. By the end of the show, “Michelle and the girls were standing and dancing, and clapping to the music.”

• Is there a new leading lady in Jeremy Piven‘s life? The Entourage actor was spotted having coffee recently with a “beautiful brunette” on the patio of West Hollywood eatery Joan’s on Third. “Their conversation seemed very animated,” a witness tells PEOPLE, adding that it looked like the pair was “having a great time.”

Gossip Girl stars Chace Crawford and Jessica Szohr ditched the Upper East Side for L.A.’s Crown Bar Friday night. “Jessica looked stunning, and every guy – and girl – noticed,” says a source, adding that Chace “wasn’t shy about flirting with any girl he was talking to.” Both actors chatted with pals, but made sure to save some time for one another. “It was easy to see they were close friends,” the source says. “They were very comfortable with each other.”

• While girlfriend Kim Kardashian sunned herself in Miami, Super Bowl champ Reggie Bush toasted the opening of soccer’s Red Bull Arena at N.Y.C. lounge Avenue. “He was totally positive all night, hanging with two guys and a girl friend,” a witness tells PEOPLE. Around 2 a.m., the Saints running back and his buddies staged a dance-off in the middle of the VIP section, and eventually closed the place down around 4 a.m. Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn popped into the party around 11 p.m., too.
