Courteney Cox, talking and laughing over dinner with former Friends costars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow and several other female pals at West Hollywood restaurant Il Sole. “They were having a wonderful time … really enjoying each other – like sisters,” says an onlooker. The ladies feasted on homemade spinach-and-ricotta ravioli, oven-roasted Dover sole and chocolate cake with a silver-colored sauce. Aniston was the first to leave, at 9:45 p.m., followed by Cox and Kudrow, who lingered over their meal until 10:20 p.m.

Jake Gyllenhaal, sampling kumquats at the Farmers Market in L.A. “They were a little sour for him,” a vendor tells us, adding, “He winced while he was eating, but I think he liked my goods because he must have sampled a half dozen.”

Jessica Alba, dancing with friends to songs including Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” at West Hollywood lounge Winston’s. Though she seemed reserved in the beginning of the evening, the actress got more animated as the night progressed and stayed at the venue until 1:50 a.m., when the lights came on.

Matthew McConaughey, “attacking the bongo drums” while sitting in with country singer Tony Joe White and his band during a show at the Revesby Workers Club in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Club marketing manager Linda Joannides said the actor – who’s been filming the comedy Fool’s Gold Down Under – was “very nice and relaxed” and “put all the female staff into a twirl.” Earlier, the workout king was spotted jogging around the Sydney harbor, past the Opera House and through the Botanical Gardens in shorts and a blue bandanna.

Jessica Biel, buying sweet treats at SusieCakes bakery in Brentwood, Calif. The actress picked up a red-velvet cupcake, a small cheesecake and “2” and “8” candles – all for a girlfriend’s birthday.
