• Where was Miranda? Newlywed Orlando Bloom, joining some friends for casual conversation on the couches near West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont’s lobby. At one point, the actor ducked away from the group to answer his phone and smoke a cigarette outside on the patio with a friend. Afterward, he rejoined his pals – but only briefly – before sneaking out and saying goodbye just before 11 p.m.

• A night later Cameron Diaz, Amy Adams and Sean Penn were all spotted at the Chateau – separately. Diaz kept a low profile, sporting a fedora that covered a majority of her face, during her animated meal inside the hotel’s indoor dining room. Adams, meanwhile, took a night off from her daughter Aviana, spending the evening on the patio, and the new mom looked radiant in her navy blue sheath. And Penn seemed to be having a business meeting – and intense conversation – on the patio with a male friend.

Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valderrama, having a mini-That ’70s Show reunion at Trousdale Lounge in L.A. The former costars sat together in the back, chatting and paying no attention to the other clubgoers.

John Mayer, surprising his audience at a small in-studio performance at Philadelphia’s Q102 WIOQ-FM with two special covers ahead of his Camden, N.J., show that night. His choices? Katy Perry‘s “California Gurls” and Justin Bieber’s “Baby.”

Cloris Leachman, playing “The Man I Love” on the piano in the lobby bar at the Beverly Hilton before her TCA panel. Wearing a bathrobe, the salty star raised her arms in the air after finishing her song – and drawing a crowd – and said to a hotel employee, “You are too cheap to hire a real player!”
