Seth Meyers got serious in September 2013 when he exchanged vows with Alexi Ashe, a human rights lawyer. It was love at first sight, according to the Saturday Night Live veteran. “I had a sense that she was the closest I’d ever met to someone who I could see myself with,” he told YourTango. We bet she’ll be front and center come Aug. 25, when the Late Night host tries his hand at commanding the Emmy Awards.

HIS OTHER LOVE
Ashe shares Meyers’s attention with Frisbee, their beloved pooch. But the competition is friendly: Frisbee helped the host propose and later walked down the aisle at their nuptials. “[Frisbee] had a leash that had a bow tie on the end of it,” he told PEOPLE. “Even though she is a lady dog, we thought a bow tie would be good.”

IF SETH HANDED OUT EMMYS...
“Those are the two most intense shows on television,” Meyers told Elle of the now-wrapped Breaking Bad and (wait for it) The Bachelorette. He added of the dating show: “I can’t believe how emotionally raw it is!”

HE HAS A CRAZY-CUTE BROTHER
Apparently, talent, contagious charm and good looks run in the Meyers family because that’s the only way we could explain the host’s younger brother, Josh. In addition to stints on That ’70s Show (2005-2006) and – gasp! – MADtv (2002-2004), he’s even appeared alongside Seth on Jimmy Fallon’s former late-night show for a sibling-themed showdown.

THE ONE LIE HE TOLD
If anything, no one could ever accuse Meyers of kissing and telling. When he lost his virginity in college, “I lied to the girl’s face and told her it was not my first time,” he confessed to Elle. “My first time was late, but not super late but based on how soon kids are having sex today, to have lost your virginity in college in the early ’90s is like a 50-year-old man losing his virginity today.”

HIS SPORTS FANDOM
When Meyers isn’t cracking jokes, there’s a likely possibility he is: A) Watching sports B) Tweeting about sports C) Having a meltdown on his late-night show when his team didn’t win the World Cup. The answer: It’s all of the above for Meyers, who rooted for the Dutch at this year’s football championship, although the Boston Red Sox are his ultimate favorite team.

WHY HE'S A TOTAL CHICKEN
If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, you could easily win Meyers’s affection for life with a hearty helping of chicken. On a July episode of Late Night, he revealed his passion for poultry can be traced to his childhood, when going to restaurants stressed him out because he could never be certain the menu would offer his go-to grub. “I didn’t know a very important fact,” he added, “which is every place has chicken.”

THE CELEB THAT LEFT HIM STARSTRUCK
He’s pals with Amy Poehler and interviews all of our idols on a daily basis (hello, and ). So leave it to the Boss to leave Meyers feeling like a fan himself. He met Bruce Springsteen while working on Saturday Night Live, but “when you spend a whole week with the host,” he said, “the starstruckedness wears off.”
