Anne Hathaway tied the knot in gorgeous Big Sur, Calif., over the weekend, and the only thing more interesting than the scenery was the bride’s wedding look. (Seriously — it’s all we’ve been able to talk about today!)
Hathaway selected a custom-made Valentino gown for her big day (the designer is a pal), finishing the ensemble with minimal jewelry, her pixie cut and a 1920s-inspired headband attached to a simple veil.
“The wedding was lovely and Anne looked gorgeous,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She looked very pretty.”
However, not all of you agree — especially on the matter of the headpiece.
While there were other criticisms of the headpiece over on People.com, the dress received pretty positive reviews. “Beautiful gown and it’s NOT STRAPLESS! Yay,” wrote SavedByGrace. Aliciad2649 agreed. “I LOVE the headpiece and the dress is classic. Anne’s a lady, through and through.”
The bride had a big cheerleader in Missyburk, as well. “I am sure this picture doesn’t do the dress or the veil justice,” she wrote. “As far as the head piece goes retro and with her pixie cut, it makes her more feminine for her big day. I will say, it is what the bride wanted, she was happy and to her I am sure it was beautiful.” Well said! Tell us: What do you think of Hathaway’s wedding dress?
